Professions encompass all harvesting and crafting in Embers Adrift.
Each character can have a maximum of three professions learned at any given time. Your first profession is available to learn at level 1. Once you level your first profession up to level 3, you can visit a profession trainer and learn a second profession. Once you level your first AND second professions both up to level 6, you can visit a profession trainer and learn a third profession.
Professions can also be forgotten at any point. If you choose to forget a profession, you'll lose all experience you've gained but you'll retain the recipes that you've learned if you decide to relearn it in the future.
